Hiroshi Morimoto,Director & Chairman, PNTL
Hiroshi Morimoto
   

Mr. Hiroshi Morimoto has been a Director and Chairman of PNTL since July 2006.

Mr. Morimoto is Executive Vice President of The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. (KANSAI). KANSAI operates eleven nuclear reactors at three nuclear power stations in Japan. Mr. Morimoto joined KANSAI in 1965 and worked in positions in the Engineering Division, Research & Development Department and Corporate Planning Department. He has been responsible for the Nuclear Power Division in KANSAI since 2004.

Mr. Morimoto graduated from the Department of Electric Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kyoto in Japan.

John Clarke is Commercial Director of the UK Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). He was formerly Managing Director of International Nuclear Services Ltd, a company wholly owned by the NDA

John has worked in the nuclear industry for over 20 years and graduated in chemical engineering from the University of Sheffield.

 
         
Jean-Luc Andrieux

Jean-Luc Andrieux has been Director of Areva’s Logistics Business unit since November 2005.

He joined EURODIF as a member of the USSI start-up team in 1977 and went on to manage plant maintenance crews from 1980-1991. He became Director of Safety in 1991, Director of Maintenance in 1994 and Plant Director in 1997. In June 2000, Mr. Andrieux was named Executive Vice President of the Enrichment Business Unit for the Cogema Group and in November 2001 he became Director of the Cogema La Hague plant.

Mr. Andrieux is a graduate of Ecole Catholique des Arts et Métiers (ECAM) in Lyon, France.

 
         
Capt. Malcolm Miller: Director and General Manager, PNTL

Capt. Malcolm Miller has forty years experience in the shipping and nuclear transport industry, combining over twenty years at sea with successful management in nuclear transportation on a worldwide basis. He has regular contacts with international customers and governments, together with the regulators of nuclear transportation. As the company spokesman for British Nuclear Group International Transport worldwide, Malcolm gave interviews to the media in countries across the world. Malcolm has also given expert witness evidence at international tribunals and participated in the UK delegation for inter-governmental negotiations in relation to nuclear waste transportation.

Malcolm has been a Director of PNTL since July 2001 and was General Manager from 2003-2007. He was also Chairman of the World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI) from 2005-2007.

Captain Miller is Director of Lambie Consultancy Limited and is a Fellow of the Nautical Institute (NI).

Mr. Hirokazu Murano has been a Director of PNTL since 2006. He is Vice President, Energy & Mineral Resources Division at Sojitz Corporation (formerly Nissho Iwai Corporation). Mr. Murano joined Nissho Iwai in 1973, starting in the Computer System Department before moving to the Nuclear Energy Department to deal with the nuclear fuel transactions and related services. He worked twice in Paris, first for five years as Director, Energy Department of Nissho Iwai France SA and subsequently for nearly three years as General Manager of Nissho Iwai’s Paris office and Director, Energy Department.

Mr. Murano is a graduate in applied mathematics from the School of Engineering at Osaka University in Japan.

 
         
Mark Robinson, Director, PNTL

Mark Robinson has been a Director of PNTL since December 2002.

Mr Robinson has 24 years experience in the nuclear industry, of which 18 have been in the field of international nuclear transports in operational, planning and commercial roles. He is currently in charge of British Nuclear Group International Transport’s commercial department. He manages relationships with customers, suppliers and partners to ensure successful delivery of transport services.

Mark is a physics graduate from Balliol College, Oxford University.

 
         
Alaine Lamprell -  Head of Finance for BNFL Spent Fuel Services Division

Alaine Lamprell is Finance Director of International Nuclear Services Ltd, having previously headed up the BNFL Group's Financial Accounts and Treasury Back Office functions at its Corporate Centre in Daresbury.

Prior to joining BNFL in 2001, Ms Lamprell trained as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte and Touche, with whom she qualified in 1998.

Alaine is a graduate of Bristol University and holds a first class honours degree in Computer Science and Mathematics.

 
         
Elizabeth Stephenson, Company Secretary, PNTL

Elizabeth Stephenson became Company Secretary of PNTL on 1 April 2008. She is Legal Adviser for the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and is Company Secretary to a number of NDA subsidiary companies. Prior to joining the NDA in 2005, Elizabeth trained as a Chartered Secretary whilst working at Comet Group Plc.

Elizabeth is a graduate of Keele University and the College of Law at Chester and holds a first class honours degree in Law and Criminology.

 

 

Alastair Brown, General Manager

Alastair Brown is Operations Director of International Nuclear Services and was appointed General Manager of PNTL in July 2007. He joined BNFL’s International Transport department in 1998 when he was appointed to project manage the conversion of Pacific Teal and Pacific Pintail to carry MOX fuel. From 1999, he has been involved in Transport operational management. Prior to joining International Transport, Alastair was an engineer at the Sellafield site in Cumbria for nine years.

Alastair has an honours degree in engineering from the University of Glasgow.
